shakespeare in the park: a community theatrical performance MONOLOGUES. DUOLOGUES. SONNETS.

Coming 2021

Within a circular outdoor space with two-stages; we invite you to enter a revolving Shakespearean community theatrical performance with a live DJ and host at the radius. In the open-air amphitheater at the beautiful Goodyear Community Park, come fall in love with and be inspired by the Heroines; the female characters in Shakespeare’s plays and gather around at a safe distance, in the oval space to hear Arizona’s diverse community of artists deliver their one-stanza, 14-line poems; the Shakespeare Sonnets.

When she gives voice to her questionable memories and tragic stories, her grandson, Michael, seeks professional help from therapist, Bridgette Means. The three begin to unravel the stories, iron out Mamie's confusion and help her find her way back – but a history of brutality and strife unfolds.
